Event Director Meghan Margewicz joins the podcast once again to talk about Equitana USA! This much anticipated event is happening October 1st-3rd 2021 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY and is the largest horse expo in the world. Filled with shopping, clinics, and many learning opportunities, it's the event you won't want to miss. Meghan has been riding since the young age of seven and has continued to learn about the sport while owning a couple different horses, participating in Pony Club, and even working with trainer, Jenni Mcallister. Karen Rohlf is a rider, trainer, clinician, podcast host, and author of the book Dressage Naturally. She pretty much does it all, but Karen is best known for her unique riding style in how she has found a way to combine decades of experience in classic dressage with natural horsemanship. [EP 175] Being Here and Doing What You Love with Sydney Collier

Sydney Collier is a true force to be reckoned with as she has been riding since the age of seven while also being diagnosed with a rare disease called Wyburn-Mason Syndrome. Despite facing health challenges throughout her life, Sydney pushed for her equestrian aspirations earning a spot in the U.S. Para Dressage Team at the age of sixteen. In 2014, Sydney was the youngest competitor at the World Equestrian Games in France, and later on at the age of eighteen she won the U.S. Para Dressage National Championships. Sydney was also the youngest member in the equestrian portion of the 2016 Rio Paralympics for Team USA. [EP 174] Legendary Moments with McLain Ward

McLain Ward is easily one of the best known riders in the show jumping ring to date with his accomplishments winning Team Gold in the 2008 Olympics, Team Silver in 2004, and just getting back from Tokyo this year where they won Team Silver. In 2017, McLain was ranked #1 in the world in the Longines FEI World Rankings, and has won numerous championships even since the age of fourteen when he became the youngest rider to win the United States Equestrian Federation’s Show Jumping Derby. [EP 173] Never Stop Learning with Sally Batton

Sally Batton is a complete power house when it comes to equestrian disciplines across the board. As a horse trainer, rider, and clinician, Sally has traveled all over the world teaching her skills, and for 35 years she has been an IHSA varsity coach for Dartmouth College. Sally is also the founder and president of the Athletic Equestrian League, and has a soon-to-be published book about being an athletic equestrian and having strength in the saddle. [EP 172] Catch Riding with Gabby Strigel

Gabby Strigel grew up riding at her home base in Durham, NC where she started catch riding ponies, and later competed on a stallion in the professional Hunter and Hunter Derby divisions instead of the Junior Hunters or the Equitation. Gabby has traveled all over the country, and now all over the world working with trainers such as Jack and Harden Towell, Liza Boyd, Jill and Sydney Shulman. Now as a duel citizen, Gabby recently competed at the FEI European Championships for juniors as part of the team for Denmark. At the young age of eighteen, Gabby is already paving the way for a promising career and moving up in the rankings. Listen to her story here!
